In order to help overseas compatriot school students learn knowledge about the Covid-19 virus, Tzu Chi Foundation has generously donated 3,000 copies of Queen Corona Tells the Secret of New Coronavirus to the Overseas Compatriot Affairs Council (OCAC) to send to the schools. The book was written by the principle of Tzu Chi University, Dr. Ingrid Y. Liu.  It's a scientifically based book for children to help them learn about the Covid-19 virus. The OCAC held a simple and heartfelt donation ceremony on March 30th to honor the generous contribution.

OCAC Minister Chen-Yuan Tung conveyed his gratitude for Tzu Chi's donation. He said that OCAC has been actively collaborating with non-governmental organizations to help further the development of overseas compatriot schools. The donation of Tzu Chi is a successful example of government and non-governmental organization collaboration. He hoped that OCAC and Tzu Chi would work together in the future in areas such as charity, medicine, education, humanities and emergency relief, and looked forward to their collaboration.

About 60 guests attended the ceremony, including OCAC Deputy Minister Chia-Ching Hsu, Vice Minister Roy Yuan-Rong Leu, Chief Secretary Chang Lian-Min, Tzu Chi Foundation CEO Bo-Wen Yan, Deputy CEO Shimin Xiong and Principle of Tzu Chi University Dr. Ingrid Y. Liu.
