The Taiwan Association Philippines Youth Chapter (TAPYC) held the Stay Healthy 101 online lectures. A nutritionist from a teaching hospital in Taiwan and a personal work out trainer were invited to present lectures. Many people took part and there was lively interaction.

At the start of the lectures, the host stated that members’ lives have been seriously affected by the epidemic this year, in particular, diet wasn’t controlled well during lockdown and was relatively unhealthy, and less exercise has been done, affecting the body to some degree. To prevent physical health affecting work and even life, TAPYC officials staged these lectures under the guidance of president Shirleen Hsieh and Activity Committee chairperson Christine Hsieh.

In her lecture, He Si-ying ( Ariel, Virtual Nutrition Clinic) said that the impact of the epidemic has led many people to review their lifestyle; she said it is very import to filter information. Apart from providing various health concepts, she also offered correct dietary ideas and reminded everyone that eating more healthily begins in the soul.

Through livestream, Private Work Out Instructor Betty Peng showed members how to do basic exercises, beginning with warm up, including lower limb, core and warm down; she shared the whole process and provided detailed explanation for each movement. She reminded everyone that there should be no pressure when working out at home because you only have to face yourself; she said learn to listen to your body and enjoy the fun of exercising.

In the Q&A session, netizens asked two lecturers different questions. They shared their expertise and the topics including the intermittent fasting that has been popular recently, what post-workout nutrients to replenish, and how to choose wholefoods. The netizens were full of praise for their professionalism and expertise.
