To celebrate ROC National Day this year, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has invited Diabolo Dance Theatre to embark on a performance tour taking in 14 cities in the US, Canada, Belize and Honduras from September 4th to October 9th. On August 16, a pre-departure public performance was held at the Performance Hall of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Hsinchu County. OCAC Vice Minister Roy Yuan-Rong Leu attended and presented the flag to the Mission on behalf of OCAC Minister Wu Hsin-hsing. 
In his speech, Leu thanked Hsinchu County Government for assisting and supporting the Mission's pre-departure performance and stated that the OCAC's national day goodwill missions not only allow the international community to see Taiwan's diverse culture but also give Taiwanese Youths the chance to promote cultural diplomacy and win friendship. Hsinchu County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke thanked the OCAC for arranging the Mission to perform in Hsinchu County. In his speech, Yang wished the Mission's performance tour every success and all the young performers can gain a lot.  
OCAC hopes that the Goodwill Mission will increase the understanding of Taiwan of people in North and Central America by the young performers excellent performance.
