The flowchart below presents the Office's organizational structure. One director is assigned to oversee both the Information Management Planning Section and the Information System Services Section. The responsibilities of Information Management Planning are as follows:the planning, implementation, and promotion of business information systems, the promotion and execution of e-government services, the planning and implementation of information management and security, and processing telegraphs between the OCAC and overseas missions and supervising related administration and equipment. Information System Services manages the planning and supervision of the computer room, service collation, planning and execution of general administration systems, and general planning and operation of OCAC's official website, along with troubleshooting for the user side.

The Information Management Office has taken measures to provide the soundest information service possible using the limited resources available. It has installed a high-performance virtual machine workstation and a joint computer room. By reducing the number of server hosts, the Office has significantly reduced its operating costs. With the popularity of mobile devices, and the trends in information development services, the Office plans to incorporate mobile device solutions as it diversifies its system development services. It will also expand its resource applications and platforms, open up its information formatting, and leverage the strength of new media platforms to upgrade the OCAC's services for the people.

With the convenience generated by modern information technologies, security is a key issue. The OCAC is a service organization devoted to foreign diplomatic matters, and considered a Level-B information security organization by the central government. All of its information services incorporate security measures. To strengthen information protections, the OCAC has launched an ISMS and a PIMS system, and periodically conducts breach scanning and infiltration testing across every information system and website to minimize security risks. Further, encryption devices are installed in the Council and its overseas offices, and monitored by the Information Management Office in accordance with the government's security criteria. The OCAC is committed to providing a secure, convenient information operating environment that keeps pace with the times to facilitate the information advancement of every overseas compatriot affairs service domain.
