Teresa Lu finishes 3rd at Japan LPGA event

Taipei, April 30 (CNA) Taiwanese golfer Teresa Lu shot a final round four-under par 68 to finish third in the 2017 Cyber Agent Ladies Golf Tournament in Japan on Sunday with a three-round total of 210.

Lu scored a four-under 68 with five birdies and one bogey in the final round after carding 70 and 72, respectively, in the first two rounds of the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) tournament, which left her one shot behind South Korean Kim Ha-Neul and Japanese Ai Suzuki.

Kim and Suzuki carded 70 in the final round Sunday, which put them tied at the top with a three-round total of 209. Kim eventually won the title in the playoffs.

The 2017 tournament, with a total purse of 70 million yen (US$627,831), started on Friday in Mishima City.

Taiwan's Phoebe Yao finished 20th with a three-round total of 218 in the tournament, Tsai Pei-ying was 40th with a total of 222 and Liu Yi-zhen ended 43rd with a total of 223.
