2017 Mandarin Chinese Teacher from Thailand Training Program Press Release
To enhance the professional ability of Mandarin Chinese teachers in Thailand, The Overseas Community Affairs Council in the Republic of China (Taiwan) is going to hold a training program called "2017 Mandarin Chinese Teacher from Thailand Training Program." The program is supported by Chung Yuan Christian University. The entire duration of the course is fourteen days, from April 9th to April 22th. Several outstanding Mandarin Chinese teachers are selected from different countries, such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Lai etc. Forty one teachers will participate in this program.
The program aims at both practical affairs and theories. In addition to curriculum foundation, it also attaches importance to practical simulations. The training program includes traditional culture courses and visits in Taoyuan City. Furthermore, Chung-Yuan Christian University will arrange field trips for Thai teachers to experience diverse cultures in Taiwan. Attractions like Hwataoyao Botanicen Garden, Beipu Old Street, Fengjia Night Market, 921 Earthquake Museum, National Museum of Natural Science, Taomi Village and Takatori Catholic Church are included in their outings.
The Overseas Community Affairs Council looks forward to enhancing the teaching skills of overseas Mandarin Chinese teachers through this program, and hope this program will spread Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese culture to the world.
