Taipei, Oct. 24 (CNA) President Tsai Ing-wen on Monday honored Gregory K.S. Man, a former section chief at the American Institute in Taiwan's headquarters in Washington, in recognition of his great contributions to advancing Taiwan-U.S. relations.

President Tsai conferred the Cravat Order of Brilliant Star medal on Man, saying on her Facebook page later Monday that Taiwan and the United States have formed a friendship of mutual trust, and Man, who was in charge of military affairs, had played a key role in building that friendship.

A lot of breakthroughs were achieved in terms of Taiwan-U.S. security and military cooperation during his tenure in the AIT, the president said.  (Courtesy of CNA)
